After months of uncertainty, one of East Africa’s most anticipated entertainment events is officially back on track.
Uganda’s Comedy Store Mega Show, which was postponed earlier this year following government measures to contain an Ebola outbreak, has been rescheduled for October 30, 2026. Organizers confirmed the new date on July 22, assuring fans that the star-studded lineup remains intact.
The event was originally slated for June 5, 2026, but had to be called off as Uganda tightened public health measures. With the show now cleared to proceed, audiences can look forward to an evening packed with music and comedy featuring some of the region’s biggest names.
Regional Stars Set to Perform in Kampala
Leading the lineup are Tanzanian music powerhouse Diamond Platnumz, Rwandan superstar The Ben, and celebrated Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi. They will be joined by some of Uganda’s finest performers, including Spice Diana, Lydia Jazmine, Winnie Nwagi, and Fik Fameica.
Diamond Platnumz Continues Busy East African Tour
For Diamond Platnumz, the Kampala show will mark another major stop on his East African calendar. It comes just two months after his scheduled appearance at Kigali’s Friends of Amstel concert on August 29, where he is expected to perform alongside Rwanda’s leading acts, including Bruce Melodie, Nel Ngabo, Ish Kevin, Etania, and DJ Marnaud.

The Ben Builds Momentum Ahead of Year-End Concert
The Ben will also arrive in Kampala riding the momentum of his successful Summer Country Tour, which has seen him and Bruce Melodie perform across different parts of Rwanda over the past several weeks.
Once the Kampala show wraps up, The Ben is expected to turn his attention to preparations for The New Year Groove, his annual year-end concert in Kigali that has become one of Rwanda’s most anticipated live music events.
