Rayon Sports assistant coach Dusange Sacha says his team will approach their CAF Confederation Cup return-leg match against Mozambique’s Black Bulls with determination, insisting that they have nothing to lose as they seek to overturn a two-goal deficit.
Sacha made the remarks during a press conference on Friday, October 23, 2026, ahead of Saturday’s second-leg encounter between the two teams. Rayon Sports lost the first leg 2-0 in Kigali. However, Sacha said the team remained confident and would fight for victory in the return leg.
he said: “Among the goals we conceded, one came from a corner, and we will also play a match involving corners. The other came from a run that led to a goal. We can do the same and even do more to win the match.”
Sacha added: “What matters is playing as people who have nothing to lose. The match will be open, and we came here looking for a victory.” Rayon Sports captain Nshimiyimana Emmanuel, popularly known as Kabange, who missed the first leg, also expressed confidence that his team could make history in Mozambique. Kabange said the team had identified its mistakes from the first encounter and was ready to correct them in the return leg.

he said: “In the first leg, we clearly saw where we made mistakes, and it is important that we correct them so that we can return home with a victory. We are ready, and we are experienced players.” He added that Rayon Sports would seek to replicate Black Bulls’ achievement of winning away from home, arguing that the Rwandan side was capable of producing a similar result.
Kabange said: “The team came and defeated us at home by two goals, which was unusual. We have come here to do the same. We will make history here, and anything is possible in football. Besides, they are not a much better team than us; it was just luck.” The match will be played at Estádio da Matola on Saturday, October 24, 2026. Rayon Sports face a difficult task, as they must overturn the 2-0 first-leg deficit to keep their hopes of reaching the CAF Confederation Cup group stage alive. The club last reached the competition’s group stage in 2018.
