Leadership Change at Police FC
Ntakirutimana takes over from CIP Claudette Umutoni, who served as Secretary General of the club for the past three years. Before assuming her new role, Ntakirutimana also served as Secretary General of the Rwanda National Police men’s and women’s volleyball teams.
Her appointment comes as Police FC seeks to strengthen its leadership structure and rebuild following a disappointing 2025/26 campaign, during which the club struggled for consistency and finished below expectations.
Club Strengthens Technical Team
The leadership changes follow the recent appointment of Rutsindura Antoine, popularly known as “Mabombe,” as the club’s Technical Director, as Police FC continues preparations for the new season.
New Signings Boost Squad
As part of its rebuilding process, Police FC has strengthened its squad by signing several new players. The club has recruited foreign players Moussa Limane, Keffa Tangara, Mzungu Japhet, and Iddrisu Shaibu, alongside local talents Rushema Chris, Byishimo Valua, and Rugwiro Kevin.
At the same time, Police FC has secured the services of several key players by extending the contracts of Nsabimana Eric “Zidane,” Iradukunda Simeon, Niyongira Patience, and David Chimezie as the club looks to mount a stronger challenge during the 2026/27 season.
