Major General Vincent Nyakarundi is currently on an official working visit to the Central African Republic. During this trip, he met with Général d’Armée Zéphirin Mamadou, who serves as the Chief of Staff of the Central African Armed Forces (FACA). The two leaders held high-level discussions to strengthen defense and security cooperation between their nations.
This meeting focused on finding new ways to deepen the existing military partnership. Both officials looked at specific areas such as security collaboration and better coordination between their armed forces. Committing to regional peace and security collaboration
During their talks, both sides expressed great satisfaction with the growing relationship between Rwanda and the Central African Republic. They reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing this cooperation for the benefit of regional peace and stability.
Rwanda has played a significant role in supporting security efforts in the Central African Republic for several years. This support happens through both bilateral arrangements and international peacekeeping missions. Rwandan troops have worked hard to maintain stability and protect civilians in various parts of the country.
These efforts have built a strong bond of trust between the two military organizations. As they move forward, both leaders plan to increase joint training and intelligence sharing to better handle local threats.
This collaboration proves that African nations can work together to solve internal security challenges. By focusing on long-term stability, Rwanda and the Central African Republic are setting a positive example for the rest of the continent.
