Rwandan clubs continued to impress on Day Five of the 2026 African Volleyball Club Championship hosted in Kigali. Police VC, REG VC, and APR VC all secured key victories on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at BK Arena and Petit Stade, strengthening their chances of progressing to the knockout stage. However, Kepler VC faced a tough challenge, losing to Egypt’s Al Ahly VC.

Police VC maintain dominance in Pool A
Police VC delivered a hard-fought 3-2 win over Nigeria Customs VC (25-21, 21-25, 21-25, 26-24, 15-9), maintaining top position in Pool A with 11 points. The team has shown consistent strength, winning 12 sets and losing only two across four matches. Earlier, Police VC became the first Rwandan side to qualify for the Round of 16 after a commanding 3-0 win over Ghana Army VC.
REG VC bounce back strongly in Pool D
REG VC recovered well after an opening defeat by securing three consecutive victories. Their latest win came against Atletico de Mindelo with a dominant 3-0 scoreline (25-14, 25-19, 25-13). The team now sits third in Pool D with nine points, having won nine sets and lost four, showing strong improvement and resilience in the tournament.
Kepler VC struggle against Al Ahly VC
In Pool B, Kepler VC suffered a straight-set defeat to Egypt’s Al Ahly VC (25-15, 25-19, 25-20). Despite the loss, Kepler remains second in the group with nine points. However, Al Ahly continue to dominate the pool with 12 points and a perfect record, having not dropped a single set so far.
