News of their game was shared by Andrew Mwenda, who was present. In a post on X on Sunday morning, July 26, 2026, Mwenda said he enjoyed playing basketball with President Kagame and Gen Muhoozi, joking that his poor performance could earn him a spot in the Guinness World Records as the worst player ever.
Official Visit Focused on Military Cooperation
Gen Muhoozi arrived in Kigali on Saturday, July 25, 2026, for an official visit aimed at meeting senior RDF leaders and President Kagame.
A statement from the Office of the Chief of Defence Forces of Uganda said his talks with Rwandan leaders focused on strengthening military cooperation between the two countries and other shared interests.

Upon arrival, Gen Muhoozi was received by Rwanda’s Chief of Defence Staff, Gen Mubarakh Muganga, along with Maj Gen Willy Rwagasana, Commander of the Presidential Guard, and Col Ezekeil Matsiko, Uganda’s Defence Attaché in Rwanda.
