Nyagatare City now offers travelers and residents a high quality place to relax following the completion of a 465 million Frw park project. This facility, known as the Nyagatare Urban Eco Park, sits on a three hectare area near the Nyagatare Hospital. Builders successfully transformed a former swamp into this modern green space to enhance the city’s aesthetic and recreational value.
Consequently, this project provides a significant boost to the district’s infrastructure. Travelers to the city can now easily find a serene environment for relaxation and social engagement in the heart of the urban center.

Improved public amenities and social spaces
The community views this park as a sign of the rapid development within the district, comparing it to the modern gardens found in Kigali City. Nyagatare continues to establish itself as a secondary city through various large-scale infrastructure projects. The city currently features 25 kilometers of newly built asphalt roads.
Furthermore, it hosts two universities and a stadium, all aimed at facilitating a better quality of life for the residents. The Nyagatare Urban Eco Park adds to these growing amenities, providing a central hub for leisure and connectivity that supports the district’s long-term urban vision.
