Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the new diplomatic arrangements currently being prepared between the two sides intend to stop the war completely. He explained that these collaborative frameworks aim to resolve several critical regional issues, including the permanent reopening of the strategic Strait of Hormuz. These highly anticipated agreements have been under intense discussion for some time but neither country has officially signed them yet.
The comprehensive diplomatic framework also includes critical measures to end the ongoing conflict in Lebanon alongside various other regional wars. Araghchi told the national television network that the pending agreements will thoroughly address other potential sources of military tension between the United States and Iran.
Furthermore, the diplomatic terms will require America to issue an official declaration affirming its absolute respect for Iran’s state sovereignty.
