The Embassy of Rwanda in Nigeria, in collaboration with the Rwandan community living in Burkina Faso, organized a commemoration event marking the 32nd anniversary of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi. The event was held in Ouagadougou, the capital city of Burkina Faso.

Attendance and Participation
The ceremony was attended by senior officials from the Government of Burkina Faso, diplomats representing various countries and international organizations, as well as friends of Rwanda. Their presence demonstrated solidarity with Rwanda and honored the memory of more than one million innocent lives lost during the Genocide against the Tutsi.

Messages of Solidarity and Commitment
Participants also expressed support for genocide survivors and reaffirmed their commitment to combating genocide ideology, denial, and trivialization. They emphasized the importance of preserving the truth about the genocide and working together to build a future free from discrimination, hatred, and division.
