Rayon Sports officially unveiled its squad for the 2026/2027 season during a colorful ceremony at Kigali Pele Stadium, where thousands of supporters gathered to celebrate the club’s preparations for the new campaign.

Legends Match Opens the Celebration
The festivities began with an exhibition match between Rayon Sports legends, including current and former club officials, and CSK. The entertaining encounter ended in a 3-3 draw, setting the tone for the day’s celebrations. Before the men’s squad was introduced, the club also presented its women’s team to the supporters.

Sixteen New Signings Join Rayon Sports
At 4:30 PM, Rayon Sports Media Officer Wasili officially unveiled the players who will represent the club during the 2026/27 season. The presentation started with Cameroonian goalkeeper Dande Junior, who is expected to compete for the first-choice goalkeeper position, and concluded with fellow Cameroonian striker Junior Kameni Herman, who has been signed to strengthen the club’s attack as Rayon Sports seeks to win its first league title since the 2018/19 season.
The club introduced 16 new signings: Dande Junior, Nshuti Didier, Matumona Wakonda Kanda Abbel, Charles Tchouplaou, Nkundimana Fabio, Nisingingizwe Christian, Muderi Akbar, Ndayishimiye Didier, Ibrahim Djingarey, Issa Djiguiba, Boris Gbenou, Antonio Atisso Kodjo, Muhoza Daniel, Iradukunda Elie Tatou, Hakizimana Zuberi, and Junior Kameni Herman.
Academy Graduates Earn Promotion
Rayon Sports also promoted two talented players from its academy to the senior team. Goalkeeper Muvunyi Aime Christian and Alexandre Bikorimana earned places in the first team, reflecting the club’s commitment to developing home-grown talent alongside strengthening the squad with new recruits.
Music Performances Add to the Festivities
The unveiling ceremony was followed by performances from popular Rwandan artists, including rapper Bull Dogg and Kitoko Patrick Bibarwa, who entertained the thousands of fans that filled Kigali Pele Stadium throughout the event.
Club Ready for the 2026/27 Season
Rayon Sports officially presented a 27-player squad for the 2026/27 season, with players assigned jersey numbers ranging from 2 to 40. The club hopes the blend of experienced players, new signings and academy graduates will help it compete strongly for domestic honours and end its wait for another Rwanda Premier League title.
