President Paul Kagame is expected to address more than 700 young Rwandans participating in the 16th Indangamirwa Itorero programme in Gabiro, Gatsibo District.
The program is being held at Gabiro Military Training Centre. It began on July 1, 2026, and is scheduled to conclude on August 10, 2026.

More Than 700 Young Rwandans Participate
The programme has brought together more than 700 Rwandan youth from diverse educational backgrounds.
Participants include Rwandans studying abroad, young people who completed secondary education at international schools in Rwanda, outstanding participants from the 14th Inkomezabigwi program, as well as students from higher learning institutions and universities.
Training Promotes Rwandan Values and Excellence
The participants are receiving various lessons aimed at strengthening their understanding of Rwandan cultural values and promoting a culture of excellence.
The program also encourages young people to develop resilience and remain determined when facing challenges in different areas of life.
Youth Learn About Rwanda’s History and National Vision
The training provides participants with an opportunity to deepen their understanding of Rwanda’s history, national vision and development journey.
Through discussions and the exchange of ideas, the youth are encouraged to understand their responsibilities and identify ways they can contribute to the country’s continued development.
Participants Encouraged to Protect Rwanda’s Achievements
The Indangamirwa Itorero programme aims to prepare young Rwandans to become responsible citizens who can represent their country positively and seek opportunities both within Rwanda and internationally.
The participants are also encouraged to use their knowledge and skills to contribute to national development and protect the achievements Rwanda has made.
