The Mobile World Congress (MWC) Kigali, one of Africa’s most influential technology and connectivity events, has been postponed, organisers announced on June 2.
The event, organised by the GSMA, had been scheduled to take place from June 16 to 18, 2026, at the Kigali Convention Centre. No reason was provided for the postponement. In a statement, the GSMA acknowledged the inconvenience caused by the decision and indicated that new dates would be announced at a later stage.
A Key Platform for Digital Innovation
The Mobile World Congress Kigali is widely recognised as Africa’s largest gathering focused on connectivity and digital innovation. The annual event brings together leaders from the telecommunications industry, technology companies, software developers, equipment manufacturers, internet service providers, investors, and policymakers to discuss the future of digital transformation across the continent.
