Teachers Say Electricity Will Improve Education Quality

Beatha Mukandayisenga, a primary school teacher, said residents had been eagerly awaiting electricity because of its potential benefits for both teachers and students. She explained that electricity will allow students to revise lessons in the evenings and enable teachers to use computers and digital tools, enhancing learning outcomes.
Traders See New Business Opportunities
Jean Claude Ndayisaba, a shop owner in Kamwambi, said electricity will help him expand his business activities. He noted that refrigerators, barbershops, welding workshops, printing services, and mobile phone charging businesses will all become possible once the community is connected.

Claudine Uwimana, a health worker, emphasized that electricity will improve healthcare services by powering medical devices, ensuring safe vaccine storage, and enabling efficient communication systems.

Védaste Habimana, a farmer from Nyaruhombo, said electricity will allow the use of processing machines and irrigation equipment, boosting productivity and opening access to larger markets. He added that agro-processing businesses could create jobs for young people.

Eric Nsengimana, a young resident, said electricity will enable youth to open salons, provide internet services, engage in welding, and learn technical skills. He highlighted that access to technology and online learning will empower young people to create their own opportunities.
