Rwandan socialite Shaddyboo has reported to the Rwanda Investigation Bureau (RIB), asking them to prosecute Iradukunda Aimable, popularly known as Yugi Umukaraza, accusing him of raping her.

Shaddyboo’s Statement
In a message shared with her followers on social media, Shaddyboo said: “Last night I had a very serious problem. A person I have known for a long time came to my house. I thought he had come to look for a way for us to reconcile, but I experienced violence.”
She added: “I call on the competent authorities in Rwanda to follow up on this case and ensure that the truth comes out. No one should live in fear, and everyone deserves to be heard with dignity and respect. Justice is important. The truth is important. Human dignity is important. I beg you, help me.”
Shaddyboo told IGIHE that Yugi Umukaraza raped her after coming to her home on the night of 21 June 2026.
Allegations Against Yugi Umukaraza
According to Shaddyboo, Yugi was her friend and visited her home carrying two bottles of alcohol. After drinking together, she said he took advantage of her while she was drunk. She woke up to find herself naked next to him.
She explained: “Yugi came to the house and we drank together, but I don’t know what he gave me because I woke up naked, lying next to him. I feel that he raped me. Imagine I was on my period. It hurt me, and I even told him. He got scared and immediately left my place, but I told him he has nowhere to run because we are in a Rwanda that has justice.”
Shaddyboo emphasized that she never consented to sexual activity and that Yugi took advantage of her vulnerability.
Response and Investigation
IGIHE attempted to contact Yugi Umukaraza for comment, but he did not answer calls. Shaddyboo said she is confident that the competent authorities will follow up on the case so that the truth is known.
She clarified that she and Yugi had never been in a romantic relationship, describing him only as a friend.
