The festival will take place from June 20 to August 1 in seven districts across the country. The artistes confirmed for the festival are Tom Close, Riderman, Butera Knowless, Urban Boyz, Platini P and Bruce Melodie.
Festival Highlights and Tributes
EAP boss Joseph Mushyoma said the festival will celebrate artistes who helped grow Rwanda’s music industry through the PGGSS competition. Singer King James, another former winner, will not join the festival because he is preparing for his concert on August 1.
Mushyoma also paid tribute to late rapper Jay Polly, who died in 2021. Organisers said Knowless will perform in Muhanga, Riderman in Musanze, Urban Boyz in Rubavu, Platini P in Huye, Bruce Melodie in Ngoma, and Tom Close in Nyagatare. The last district and artiste will be announced later.
Urban Boyz Reunion Rumors
The festival announcement has also raised fresh excitement among fans after reports emerged that Urban Boyz members Humble Jizzo, Safi Madiba and Nizzo could reunite during the event.

Humble Jizzo recently revealed that he is doing everything possible to bring the group back together after years apart. “It’s something I always look forward to because I believe our fans deserve more,” he said.
