The management of the Ngoma Tomato Processing Plant (NTPP) has announced that construction work on the factory has reached 90%, with only a short period remaining before the facility is fully completed and begins operations.
Factory to Produce Tomato-Based Products
The factory is expected to process tomatoes into a variety of products, including tomato paste and juice, a move aimed at adding value to agricultural produce and boosting agro-processing in the region.
Construction of the plant began in late December 2025. However, the project was not started entirely from scratch, as the site already had an existing structure that had previously been used as a vegetable storage facility.
