These discussions also explored more ways to deepen cooperation. They focused on promoting economic growth that includes everyone and improving how farmers reach markets.

The global and local impact of IFAD initiatives
IFAD is a United Nations agency that works to promote agricultural and rural development. Since its start in 1978, the agency has funded many projects to improve farming and livestock worldwide. Its main goal is to reduce hunger and ensure everyone has enough food to eat.
Globally, these programs have helped more than 518 million people improve their lives. In Rwanda, IFAD plays a very active role in supporting local growth. The agency currently supports various projects across 14 districts in the country.
These local initiatives focus on giving farmers the tools and knowledge they need to succeed. As Rwanda continues to modernize its economy, the support from global partners like IFAD remains essential for long-term success.
