Ishimwe Vestine, a member of the music duo Vestine & Dorcas, has confirmed that she has begun legal proceedings to separate from her husband, Idrissa Jean Luc Ouédraogo, citing infidelity among the reasons for the decision.
In a brief interview with IGIHE, Vestine confirmed that the couple had started the process of legally ending their marriage.
Vestine Says Husband Impregnated Two Women
Vestine said she decided to seek a separation after obtaining what she described as evidence that her husband had sexual relations with two other women and impregnated them.
she said: “I do not wish to discuss this at length; what you should know is that we have begun the process of a legal separation after I obtained information and evidence that he had sexual relations with two young women and impregnated them.”
Singer Declines to Name the Women
Vestine did not reveal the identities of the women she alleges were impregnated by her husband.
She also declined to provide further details about the alleged relationships but maintained that she has evidence supporting her claims.
According to the singer, the information and evidence contributed to her decision to pursue legal separation.

Vestine Rejects Property Division Claims
Vestine also dismissed claims that her decision to seek a divorce was motivated by a desire to divide property with her husband.
She said there was nothing she wanted the couple to divide. she said: “I have filed for divorce, but there is absolutely nothing I wish for us to divide.”
Vestine Previously Hinted at Marital Problems
The singer had previously hinted at difficulties in her marriage through messages she shared on social media in November 2025.
At the time, Vestine said she was going through difficult circumstances that she had not chosen and that she had learned from the experience.
She also wrote that she would never again allow a man to deceive her and ruin her life.
Couple Married in July 2025
Ishimwe Vestine and Idrissa Jean Luc Ouédraogo held their wedding ceremony on July 5, 2025.
Their relationship had already been publicly known before the wedding, and the couple had also entered into a civil marriage.
The latest development comes just over a year after their wedding, with Vestine now confirming that they have begun the legal process of ending their marriage.
