The leadership of Ngoma District has praised Rusumo Power Company Ltd for its significant contribution to improving the livelihoods of local residents.
The company has supported the construction of markets, health facilities, and youth centers, as well as expanding access to clean water—initiatives that directly enhance daily life for the community.

Visit to Funded Projects
This appreciation was expressed by the Mayor of Ngoma District, Niyonagira Nathalie, during an official visit to development projects financed by the company.
Among the sites visited were a clean water supply project, a youth center, and the Rukira market. These initiatives play a crucial role in improving living conditions and nurturing youth talent.

Mayor Niyonagira Nathalie expressed deep gratitude for the strong partnership between the district and Rusumo Power Company Ltd.

Projects such as access to clean water, youth centers, and markets empower citizens to improve their lives and expand employment opportunities. She also emphasized that the district will continue working with various partners to find lasting solutions to community challenges.

Rurangwa Tito, Technical Manager at Rusumo Power Company Ltd, praised the strong collaboration with Ngoma District and reaffirmed the company’s broader mission: “As Rusumo Power Company Ltd, we are committed not only to generating electricity but also to contributing to the development of surrounding communities. The projects we visited today aim to improve livelihoods and provide essential services. Notably, young people now have opportunities to gain skills, especially in technology,”
Broader Investments in Social Infrastructure
Rusumo Power Company Ltd has funded a range of development projects in Ngoma District, including:
- Expansion of Rukira market
- Construction of Kazo and Karembo health centers
- Development of Gafunzo market
- Building youth centers
- Improving access to clean water
Additionally, the company recently donated an ambulance worth 120 million Rwandan Francs to Kibungo Hospital, further strengthening healthcare services in the region.
