Rwanda Women’s National Cricket Team secured a dramatic win over the United States Women’s National Cricket Team in their third match of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier. After winning the toss, Rwanda chose to bat first, posting a total of 127 runs despite tight bowling from the USA, who claimed four wickets in the first innings.

Chasing 128 for victory, the United States mounted a strong response and came within touching distance of the target. However, the match ended in heartbreak for the visitors as they finished on 126 runs, falling just one run short with only one over remaining.

The victory adds to Rwanda’s growing confidence in the tournament, following their win against Vanuatu and a loss to Italy earlier.
