Rwanda and Pakistan are holding an investment forum in Kigali aimed at increasing trade, investment and business partnerships between the two countries.
The Rwanda and Pakistan Investment Forum 2026 is taking place from September 23 to 25, bringing together government officials, investors and private-sector representatives from both countries. The forum is providing a platform to explore investment opportunities and strengthen business cooperation.

Businesses Explore Investment Opportunities
The forum is giving Rwandan and Pakistani businesses an opportunity to discuss potential partnerships and investments.
Areas being explored include manufacturing, agribusiness, information and communications technology, mining, tourism, logistics, renewable energy, healthcare and financial services.
Bilateral Trade Agreement on the Agenda
A key part of the forum is the signing of a Rwanda–Pakistan Bilateral Trade Agreement.
The agreement is expected to provide a framework for expanding trade between the two countries and creating more opportunities for businesses to work together.
Pakistani Business Delegation in Kigali
A delegation of Pakistani business representatives is taking part in the forum.
The delegation is holding discussions with Rwandan government institutions, business leaders, investors and private-sector representatives on trade, investment, joint ventures and other business opportunities.
Rwanda Presented as a Gateway to Africa
Rwanda’s High Commissioner to Pakistan, Harerimana Fatou, has encouraged Pakistani companies to consider Rwanda not only as a market but also as a possible base for production, joint ventures and expansion into other African markets.
She has highlighted textiles, construction, healthcare, agriculture, manufacturing, technology and entrepreneurship as sectors where Pakistani companies could explore opportunities in Rwanda.

Made in Pakistan Exhibition Opens Opportunities
The forum also includes a “Made in Pakistan” exhibition, where Pakistani companies are showcasing their products to Rwandan businesses and consumers.
The exhibition is intended to support direct business connections while helping companies explore opportunities in Rwanda and the wider African market.
Rwanda and Pakistan Seek Stronger Economic Ties
Rwanda and Pakistan have maintained diplomatic relations since 1962, and the current forum is focused on strengthening those relations through increased trade and investment.
The three-day event is expected to provide a platform for businesses from both countries to establish partnerships, explore investments and identify opportunities for increased trade.
