Rwanda Gears Up for BAL6 Glory as RSSB Tigers Receive Government Backing

Minister Mukazayire Boosts Team Morale

Rwanda’s Minister of Sports, Nelly Mukazayire, paid a motivational visit to RSSB Tigers BBC as the team intensified preparations for the Basketball Africa League Season 6. The visit came at a crucial moment, just days before the squad departs for South Africa.

During her address, the Minister encouraged players to stay disciplined, focused, and united. She expressed strong confidence in their ability to compete at the highest continental level and carry Rwanda’s hopes with pride.

Government Pledges Full Support

The government has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the team throughout their BAL6 campaign. Minister Mukazayire emphasized that sports play a vital role in promoting Rwanda’s global image and strengthening national unity.

She noted that the team’s performance will represent not only their talent but also the country’s growing reputation in African basketball. This backing provides a major boost as the players prepare for tough competition.

Tigers Ready to Fight for National Pride

Inspired by the Minister’s visit, the players and technical staff of RSSB Tigers BBC have pledged to give their all. Team representatives highlighted their determination to compete fiercely and bring honor back home.

They acknowledged the responsibility of representing Rwanda on the continental stage and promised to showcase resilience, teamwork, and excellence throughout the tournament.

Kalahari Conference Set for Tough Battles

RSSB Tigers BBC will begin their BAL6 journey in the Kalahari Conference, set to take place in South Africa from March 27 to April 5, 2026.

The conference will feature some of Africa’s top basketball clubs, making it a highly competitive stage. The Tigers are expected to face strong opponents, testing both their skill and mental strength as they push for qualification to the next round.

Kigali to Host BAL6 Grand Finals

In a major highlight, Kigali will host the BAL6 finals from May 22 to May 31, 2026. This gives RSSB Tigers BBC extra motivation to perform well in the early stages and secure a place in the decisive matches at home.

Playing in front of local fans could provide a crucial advantage as Rwanda aims for continental glory.

With strong government backing, rising confidence, and national support, RSSB Tigers BBC head into BAL6 with ambition and determination. Rwanda stands united behind its team, hopeful that this campaign will mark a historic achievement in African basketball.
