Canadian singer Céline Dion fell on stage during a concert near Paris on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, but quickly got back up and continued performing.
Videos circulating on social media showed the 58-year-old singer slipping while performing her 1998 song Dans un autre monde at the Plenitude Arena in Nanterre. Her trousers appeared to catch on the heel of her shoe, causing her to lose her balance.
Dion later returned to the stage wearing a black dress to perform her 1995 hit Pour que tu m’aimes encore. She told the audience that she had forgotten some of the lyrics, prompting fans to sing along. Touched by their support, she thanked the crowd, saying, “Thank God you are here. It means so much to my heart.” No reports indicated that she had suffered serious injuries in the fall.

Dion Returns to the Stage After Health Challenges
Dion is performing a series of concerts in Paris as she returns to the stage following years of health challenges. In December 2022, she revealed that she had been diagnosed with Stiff-Person Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that can cause muscle stiffness and movement difficulties.
Since announcing her diagnosis, the singer has made only a handful of major public performances. She sang Édith Piaf’s Hymne à l’amour during the opening ceremony of the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and performed two songs at a fashion show in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, later that year.
Her current Paris concert series began on September 12, 2026, marking her first extended concert run since March 2020. During the opening show, she became emotional while performing On ne change pas.
In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar ahead of the concerts, Dion said she wanted to reconnect with her fans and show them how much she had missed them. She is expected to return to the Plenitude Arena in May 2027.
