Training Focuses on Fire Prevention and Response
The training covered the main causes of fire outbreaks and the preventive measures needed to reduce their occurrence. Participants also learned how to use fire extinguishers correctly, extinguish fires using water, and respond appropriately to fires involving gas and petrol.
The sessions combined theoretical instruction with practical demonstrations to help participants understand how to act during fire emergencies.
Participants Take Part in Practical Firefighting Exercise
At the end of the training, participants took part in a practical fire-extinguishing exercise, giving them an opportunity to apply the knowledge they had acquired. They also asked questions and received further guidance on the appropriate actions to take when a fire breaks out.
The initiative aimed to strengthen the ability of institutions and community stakeholders to prevent fires and respond effectively to emergencies, thereby protecting human lives, infrastructure and property. Fire prevention remains a shared responsibility. Having the right knowledge and responding appropriately during an outbreak can save lives and minimise damage.
