Gatsibo, Rwanda More than 600 young people in Gatsibo District are returning to school thanks to the Resilience in Secondary Education (RISE) program.
Helping School Dropouts Resume Education
The program is a partnership between Gatsibo District authorities and the Imbuto Foundation. It targets youth aged 18 to 35 who left school due to poverty, family issues, or other barriers.
Education and Skills Training
Enrolled youth will return to secondary school and access vocational training. The training gives them practical skills for self-employment.
Classes will start soon. They will run six months to one year, depending on each participant’s level. The program combines academic lessons with hands-on skills. This approach helps students gain knowledge and practical abilities.
