DJ Spinny’s highly anticipated Spinny and Friends concert, originally scheduled for August 8, 2026, has been rescheduled to July 18, 2026. The event will now be held at Gahanga Cricket Stadium.

Reason for the Rescheduling
In a statement released on June 4, 2026, Spinny Events announced that the date change was made to align the concert with a broader lineup of entertainment activities designed to offer fans a more enhanced experience. The organizers also revealed that a major artist, whose identity remains undisclosed, will perform at the event.
Organizers’ Statement
“Following the overwhelming success of the inaugural edition, which attracted attendees from Rwanda and abroad, we decided to bring the event closer to fans and host it at a larger venue capable of delivering an unforgettable experience,” the organizers stated.
Background of the Event
This will be the second edition of the concert organized by DJ Spinny (Joseph Kalisa). The first edition was held in 2025 to celebrate his ten years in the music industry. It took place in both Uganda and Rwanda, with the Rwandan show hosted at Zaria Court.
Activities and Experience
Organizers said this year’s event will go beyond music by featuring various sporting activities and interactive entertainment experiences. Attendees will also have the opportunity to watch the FIFA World Cup third place playoff and final match, blending sports, music, and social entertainment.

Goal of the Event
The decision to change both the date and venue is intended to attract a larger audience from Rwanda and abroad while further strengthening Kigali’s position as a hub for entertainment and international events.
