Through the BPR Scholars programme, we are committed to supporting these students throughout their secondary education journey, from S1 to S6.”

He added that the programme is not simply about providing financial assistance, but about accompanying the students throughout their six-year educational journey.

MINEDUC Welcomes the Partnership

Niyongabo Eric, an official from the Ministry of Education, thanked BPR Bank Rwanda PLC for partnering with the government to support national education programmes.

He said such partnerships help remove barriers that prevent students from continuing their education. “Recent figures show that at least 79% of students who pass primary school go on to secondary education, and our goal is to reach 100%.”

He added that financial constraints remain among the challenges affecting students and that partnerships with institutions such as BPR can help increase the number of students who progress to secondary education.
