Jali Finance Ltd has opened a new branch in Kayonza District, Eastern Province. The company invested over Rwf 2.5 billion to expand its services and bring financial support closer to the people.

Expanding Financial Access in Kayonza
First, the new branch will improve access to motorcycle loans. These loans help individuals earn income and support their families.
As a result, Jali Finance has already contributed to job creation. About 1,000 jobs have been created through its motorcycle financing program.
Official Launch After Operations Began
The inauguration ceremony took place on March 27, 2026, in Kayonza District.Although the branch was already operating, it had not been officially launched until now.
Beneficiaries Share Life-Changing Stories
Several beneficiaries shared how the program has transformed their lives.
Habineza Jean de Dieu, a former bicycle taxi operator, explained how he struggled before joining the program. After getting a driving license, he spent two years without support.
He said:
“While others repay their motorcycles over two years, I managed to complete my payments in just over one year. Jali Finance Ltd has been like a parent to me. I have now fully paid off my motorcycle, improved my home, and my wife and three children are living well. Before, life was very difficult.”
Empowering Women and Families
In addition, Nyiratega Rosalie, the 1,000th client, shared her experience. As a single mother of three, she worked by renting motorcycles before getting her own through Jali Finance.
Leadership Highlights Youth Opportunities
The Managing Director, Felix Nkundimana, said the company focuses on helping youth access opportunities.He explained:
“Previously, motorcycles were sold, but there was a gap for those who could not afford the Rwf 2 million required upfront. We came to bridge that gap by providing financing so they can buy motorcycles, work, and repay gradually. We are also proud of the jobs being created.”
Local Leaders Welcome the Initiative
Moreover, the Acting Mayor of Kayonza District, Fred Hategekimana, praised the initiative. He said it helps reduce unemployment among young people.He added that one motorcycle can support up to five people, showing the strong impact on families.
Future Plans and Growth
Jali Finance Ltd was established in 2017 and started operations in 2018.
Currently, the company plans to help at least 3,000 people acquire motorcycles each year. Therefore, it continues to play a key role in economic growth and job creation in Rwanda.
