This Sunday, young cyclists are racing in Musanze District along Avenue Mikeno, commonly known as “mu Kizungu.” The event is part of the Rwanda Youth Racing Cup 2026.
The roads are lively, and the atmosphere is full of excitement. Spectators have gathered to support the riders. As a result, the event feels energetic and inspiring.

Third Day of Strong Competition
Today marks the third day of this year’s competition. So far, the races have been intense and competitive. Many young athletes have shown great skill and determination.
Moreover, the number of participants continues to grow. This shows how much cycling is developing among young people in Rwanda.
Participation Across Age Categories
Both boys and girls are competing in five age categories. These range from under 11 to under 19 years old. Therefore, each group gets a fair chance to compete.
In addition, this structure helps young riders grow step by step. It also allows coaches to identify talent early.
