Rwandan teams competing in the 2026 African Volleyball Club Championship in Kigali, Police VC, REG VC, and Kepler VC have all advanced to the quarterfinals after winning their Round of 16 matches, while APR VC was eliminated before reaching that stage.

Strong Round of 16 Performances at BK Arena and Petit Stade
The Round of 16 matches were played on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at BK Arena and Petit Stade, where three of the four Rwandan representatives secured places in the last eight. Police VC set the tone early with a dominant 3-0 victory over Nigeria Customs VC (25-21, 25-16, 25-21).
REG VC also delivered a strong performance, defeating Uganda’s Sport-S 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-20) to book a quarterfinal clash against Kenya’s KPA VC.

Kepler Sets Up All-Rwandan Quarterfinal Showdown
Kepler VC completed the trio of successes by overcoming Kenya’s GSU 3-1 (23-25, 25-23, 28-26, 25-19), setting up an all-Rwandan quarterfinal encounter with Police VC scheduled for Thursday at BK Arena.

APR VC Suffers Early Exit
APR VC, which finished fourth in last year’s African Championship and also holds the domestic league title, was knocked out in the Round of 16 after losing 3-1 to Morocco’s FUS Rabat (25-23, 25-18, 22-25, 25-21). Their early exit comes after also missing the playoffs in the 2025–2026 Rwanda Volleyball League season.

Quarterfinal Action Set for Thursday
The quarterfinal matches will take place on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at BK Arena, while teams eliminated in the Round of 16, including APR VC, will compete for positions 9 to 16.
