Mayor Kakooza Calls for a Shift from Traditional Work Approaches
In his address, the Mayor of Nyagatare District, Kakooza Henry, encouraged all workers from public institutions to private sector employees and self-employed individuals to prioritize innovation in their daily responsibilities instead of relying on outdated methods.
He stated: “The development of our district depends on the ability of workers to think of new solutions, improve service delivery, and make effective use of available opportunities. We should not fear changing how we work; instead, we must embrace new approaches aligned with today’s technology-driven world.”
Recognition of Outstanding Employees
The celebrations included discussions, awarding of outstanding employees, and showcasing achievements realized during the 2025–2026 period. Key focus areas included strengthening the use of technology, improving public service delivery, and promoting collaboration across different sectors.
Among those recognized was UWERA Betty, Executive Secretary of Kanyonza Cell in Matimba Sector, who received the Outstanding Employee Award for 2025–2026. She was commended for her dedication, integrity, and strong collaboration with citizens in addressing community challenges.
