Numida Technologies Disburses Frw 1.8 Billion in Loans to Traders

Financial technology company Numida Technologies Ltd has disbursed Frw 1.8 billion in fast, unsecured loans to more than 1,000 traders, helping them expand their businesses.

One of the beneficiaries is Hope Mumararungu, a clothing trader dealing in men’s, women’s, and children’s apparel in Nyarugunga Sector, Kicukiro District.

Mumararungu said accessing quick business financing had previously been a major challenge until he began working with Numida Technologies Ltd.

She said: “I started my business in 2014. Throughout those years, I worked with several financial institutions, but obtaining a loan was difficult because they required many documents some of which I did not have. The process also involved spending an entire day standing in queues. With Numida, however, you apply using your phone, and within five minutes the loan is approved and disbursed.”

Hope Mumararungu says Numida Technologies Ltd continues to drive the growth of his business.

Business Growth Through Financing

She explained that he began using Numida Technologies Ltd’s services in May 2026, when he received his first loan of Frw 1.5 million, repayable within one month. After successfully repaying it, the company approved a second loan of Frw 2 million.

According to Mumararungu, the financing enabled him to expand his business from Frw 10 million to Frw 15 million in just three months.

She added: “One thing I appreciate about Numida Technologies Ltd is that it advises its customers to use the loans strictly for the intended business purpose, and that guidance has greatly benefited me. They also offer a flexible repayment system. Unlike other institutions where you have to visit a bank to make repayments, with Numida you pay through the app whenever you have the money whether after an hour, a day, or a week.”

Expansion into Rwanda

Numida Technologies Ltd launched its operations in Uganda in 2016 before expanding to Kenya in 2023.

In March 2026, the company opened its Rwanda branch, offering fast, unsecured loans designed to support the growth of small businesses. The loans are repayable within 30 or 60 days, depending on the customer’s preferred repayment period.

The company provides loans ranging from Frw 100,000 to Frw 12 million, depending on the size and performance of the applicant’s business. However, first-time borrowers are eligible for a maximum loan of Frw 2 million.

Hope Mumararungu’s business has grown significantly with the support of Numida Technologies Ltd.

Fast Financing for Small Businesses

A Numida Technologies employee, Hakizimana Cyprien, said the company is committed to providing traders with quick financial support whenever they face urgent cash-flow needs.

“Business owners often need immediate funds to restock inventory, purchase goods, or address other urgent business expenses. Searching for financing from different institutions can be time-consuming and may interrupt business operations.

Numida Technologies Ltd provides a solution by offering short-term business loans, with funds disbursed within 24 hours. Customers simply download the Numida Business Loan app, register, and apply. Within a short time, the money is sent to their mobile phone, allowing them to continue operating their businesses without disruption.”

Application Process and Loan Terms

Loan applications are made through the Numida Business Loan mobile application by following the provided instructions. The loans attract an interest rate of 10%, and there are no additional deductions, meaning borrowers receive the full amount they apply for.

Those interested in the loans can apply through the Numida Business Loan app or call +250 783 044 939 for more information.

Hope Mumararungu, a trader specializing in men’s, women’s, and children’s clothing.
