A total of 198 young women trained under the TechSheCan Project, led by InyaRwanda Art Studio in partnership with Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion and Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, have officially graduated after completing vocational and technical education programs designed to equip women with practical workforce skills. The graduation ceremony took place on Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Gasabo District Hall.
The beneficiaries are young women who were unable to complete formal education due to different life challenges but received a second chance to build careers through technical training.

Training Focused on High-Demand Technical Fields
Over a four-month period, the students received intensive training in several market-relevant disciplines, including vehicle mechanics, photography, videography, and graphic design. Out of the 200 students enrolled in the program, 198 successfully completed their studies.
Those trained by InyaRwanda Art Studio specialized in photography, videography, and graphic design, gaining creative and technical skills aimed at improving employability and entrepreneurship opportunities.

Officials Praise Girls for Breaking Gender Barriers
The Director General of Rwanda TVET Board, Mukankubito Rehema, congratulated the graduates for pursuing professions traditionally dominated by men. She praised their determination and courage to challenge stereotypes. “This is a day of joy for the graduates, their families, and everyone who supported them. The professions you studied align with the country’s vision and the demands of today’s world.”
She noted that fields such as automotive mechanics and film production have long been viewed as male dominated industries, making the graduates’ achievements especially significant. “You have shown that ability is not defined by gender. Your success proves that with determination and commitment, girls can excel in any profession.”

MIGEPROF Calls Graduates Role Models for Future Generations
The Minister of Gender and Family Promotion, Uwimana Consolée, described the graduates as role models for younger girls across Rwanda. She explained that although the TechSheCan initiative started in Kigali, there are plans to expand it nationwide. “You are showing younger girls that success is not determined by gender, but by courage and willingness to try.”
She added that beyond technical knowledge, the students also gained confidence, teamwork experience, and problem solving skills that will help them succeed in the workplace and beyond. The minister stressed that investing in girls’ education strengthens not only individual futures but also Rwanda’s long-term economic transformation.

InyaRwanda Opens Registration for May 2026 Intake
InyaRwanda Ltd, through its training division InyaRwanda Art Studio, continues to equip young people with professional skills in photography, videography, graphic design, and other creative fields.
The institution announced that applications are now open for the May 2026 intake, with classes scheduled to begin on May 18, 2026. Registration is currently ongoing, and enrollment remains open to aspiring students seeking practical digital and creative career skills.
