Lekhwiya, Qatar’s Internal Security Force, is providing specialized training to Rwandan police officers as part of the ongoing security cooperation between Qatar and Rwanda.
Three training programs are currently taking place in Kigali, aimed at strengthening professional skills and enhancing operational capabilities within Rwanda’s security sector.

Training Focuses on VIP Protection and Crowd Management
The programs cover several key security areas, including VIP protection, crowd control and the dispersal of demonstrations, as well as combat techniques in populated areas.
The sessions are designed to equip participants with advanced knowledge and practical skills required to respond effectively to various security situations.

Cooperation Aims to Strengthen Security Capacity
The initiative plays an important role in strengthening cooperation between Rwanda and Qatar while improving the preparedness and performance of Rwandan police officers in maintaining public safety.
The partnership also reflects the commitment of both countries to building institutional capacity, enhancing professional expertise, and promoting knowledge-sharing in support of long-term security development efforts.
