Situations continue to worsen for French striker Kylian Mbappé as millions of Real Madrid supporters demand his departure. Over 44 million fans have now signed an online petition calling for the club to sell the forward. These supporters cite poor performance and growing dissatisfaction with his behavior off the pitch as primary reasons.
A dedicated website launched three days ago to track fan signatures regarding the player’s future. Initially, the organizers set a small target of only 200 signatures. However, 18 million people signed within the first 24 hours. After 72 hours, the total surpassed 44 million participants.
This massive surge in digital protest reflects a deep rift between the star player and the Santiago Bernabéu faithful.

Behavioral concerns and locker room divisions
The campaign against Kylian Mbappé gained significant momentum following recent social media controversies. Photos recently surfaced showing Mbappé enjoying time with his partner, Esther Espósito, while he was officially sidelined with an injury. This perceived lack of focus has frustrated many fans who expect total commitment to the team’s recovery protocols.
Furthermore, reports suggest that teammates have accused Mbappé of isolating himself from the rest of the squad. This behavior supposedly creates divisions within the attacking line, specifically affecting his chemistry with Vinicius Junior.
Supporters have even directed messages at his partner, blaming her influence for his lack of productivity on the field. The tension in the locker room now threatens the overall stability of the team during a critical point in the season.

Statistical performance versus trophy success
Mbappé joined Real Madrid in June 2024 from Paris Saint-Germain with a contract running until 2029. Statistically, his individual numbers remain impressive. In his 41 most recent matches, he has scored 41 goals.
Across his first 100 matches for the club, he has recorded 85 goals and 11 assists. However, critics argue that these individual achievements have not translated into major silverware. Real Madrid has struggled to secure La Liga or UEFA Champions League titles since his arrival.
Interestingly, his former club, PSG, claimed the 2024/25 Champions League title immediately after his departure. PSG has also reached the final again in the 2025/26 season to face Arsenal. This contrast in success has led many to question if the French captain fits the current Real Madrid system.
