The Premier League has announced the nominees for its September monthly awards, recognizing standout managers, players, goals and saves from another action-packed month of top flight football.
The awards come as the 2026/27 season begins to take shape, with several clubs making early statements in the title race and individual stars producing memorable performances across the competition.
Liverpool, Brighton & Hove Albion and Manchester City feature prominently among the nominations after impressive runs of form during September.

Manager of the Month Shortlist
Three managers have been shortlisted for the Barclays Manager of the Month award.
Andoni Iraola earned a nomination after guiding Liverpool to two victories and a draw during September. Liverpool remained unbeaten throughout the month, scoring three goals while keeping clean sheets in all three matches. Iraola is aiming to win the award again after previously claiming the honour during his tenure at Bournemouth.
Fabian Hürzeler was also recognised following Brighton’s impressive performances. Brighton defeated defending champions Arsenal and Coventry City while drawing against Leeds United. The Seagulls scored nine goals and conceded only once during the period.
The third nominee is Enzo Maresca, whose Manchester City side enjoyed a perfect September. City defeated Coventry, Manchester United and Sunderland, collecting maximum points while scoring seven goals. Their results helped them climb to the summit of the Premier League standings.

Player and Goal of the Month Contenders
Eight players have been nominated for the EA SPORTS Player of the Month award.
Liverpool are represented by striker Alexander Isak and defender Jeremy Jacquet. Isak continued his strong start at Anfield by scoring crucial goals, including a match-winning strike against Bournemouth, while Jacquet impressed defensively as Liverpool recorded multiple clean sheets.
Brighton’s nominations are Pascal Gross and Charalampos Kostoulas. Both players played important roles during the club’s productive month, contributing goals and assists while helping Brighton secure results against strong opposition, including Arsenal.
Manchester City’s representative is Antoine Semenyo, who contributed two goals and two assists during September. Semenyo played every minute of City’s victories and was influential in wins against Coventry, Manchester United and Sunderland.
The remaining nominees are Hull City winger Mohamed Belloumi, Leeds United full-back Jayden Bogle and Brentford forward Kevin Schade.
Eight goals have also been shortlisted for the Guinness Goal of the Month award. The nominees include Harvey Barnes, Bryan Mbeumo, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Bruno Guimarães, Lewis Dunk, Nicolas Jackson, Emiliano Buendía and Jay Dasilva.
Barnes’ curling effort for Newcastle United against Bournemouth is among the notable contenders. Mbeumo and Maitland-Niles were nominated for strikes in Everton’s draw against Manchester United, while Guimarães’ effort from Sunderland’s clash with Arsenal also made the shortlist.
Dunk’s goal against Brighton, along with finishes from Jackson and Buendía during Aston Villa’s victory over Tottenham Hotspur, are also in contention. Dasilva’s winner for Coventry against Nottingham Forest completes the shortlist.

Save of the Month Nominations
The Premier League has also announced the candidates for the Coca-Cola Save of the Month award.
Manchester City goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma is among the nominees after making a late save against Manchester United during the Manchester Derby. The intervention helped preserve City’s victory and highlighted his contribution to Maresca’s side.
The award recognises notable goalkeeping performances, including reflex saves, positioning and match defining interventions.
Voting and Winners
Supporters have been invited to vote for their favourite manager, player, goal and save. Voting closes at 12:00 BST on September 28, with fans’ votes combined with those of football experts before the winners are announced the following week.
The September awards will recognise the managers and players who have made significant contributions during the early stages of the 2026/27 Premier League season.
