Rapper A$AP Rocky has revealed that his partner, Rihanna, is preparing to release a new album, giving fresh hope to fans who have been waiting years for the singer’s next project.
A$AP Rocky made the remarks during an interview on The Jason Lee Podcast, where he confirmed that Rihanna is currently recording new music and spending time in the studio. he said: “She’s in the studio right now.”
New Album Still in the Works
When asked whether Rihanna’s long-awaited album would eventually be released, A$AP Rocky replied, “She’s working on it.”
Despite the update, he did not disclose a release date or provide further details about the project.
He also dismissed speculation that he and Rihanna are working on a joint album.
Fans Continue Waiting for a Follow-Up to “Anti”
Rihanna last released a full-length album, “Anti,” in 2016. Since then, fans have eagerly awaited her next studio album.
During the interview, A$AP Rocky was asked whether he was responsible for Rihanna delaying the album, given that the couple now have three children together. He denied the suggestion, insisting that Rihanna is actively working on new music, before jokingly apologizing to her for revealing the information. “Yeah, I said it. Sorry, babe.”
Rihanna Previously Spoke About the Project
In February 2025, Rihanna also expressed optimism about her upcoming album, saying she had finally found the musical direction she wanted to pursue.
Although she has not released a new album since “Anti,” Rihanna has remained active in music through several singles, including “Lift Me Up,” which she released in 2022 for the film Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
Beyond music, Rihanna has continued expanding her business ventures, including her fashion and beauty brands, Fenty and Fenty Beauty.
