Bebe Cool’s Accusations

In several posts on X, Bebe Cool claimed that Jolly Mutesi, who lives in the UK, lured him with promises of support for his son’s football journey and took money using Rwanda’s name and Arsenal Football Club. He said: “This woman called Jolly Mutesi lives in the UK and follows Arsenal games. Last year she defrauded me using Rwanda’s name and Arsenal, and now she is involved in another scheme.”

He insisted he had evidence linking her to the fraud and mentioned others who had similar experiences. He added that someone in Uganda was being used to receive the money and expressed confidence that the truth would eventually come out.
Bebe Cool explained that he spoke out to protect Rwanda’s image and leadership. He even shared a phone number allegedly connected to Jolly Mutesi and threatened to release screenshots of conversations as proof.

Jolly Mutesi’s Response

Jolly Mutesi responded with a statement denying the accusations, saying an impersonator had opened a fake account under her name to scam people. She wrote: “I learned that someone created a fake account using my name, Akansarira Jolly. I regret that some of my people fell into this trap. Please be cautious with unverified accounts.”
Addressing Bebe Cool directly, she advised him to verify information before making public accusations: “I sympathize with you for being scammed by someone impersonating me. But next time, please investigate carefully before accusing people by name. As a public figure, you should be sure of what you say.”
So far, Bebe Cool has not released detailed evidence to support his claims, while Jolly Mutesi continues to insist she is a victim of online impersonation.
Apology and Continued Dispute
Miss Mutesi Jolly apologized to Bebe Cool, but also told him that he should be more cautious before accusing people falsely.
Bebe Cool said that at different times he had conversations with the person he calls Miss Jolly, and that he is ready to present evidence of those exchanges.
In October 2024, Miss Mutesi Jolly had already revealed that someone was impersonating her on social media.
