Rwandan dancer Titi Brown has denied ever being romantically involved with Nyambo Jesca, despite the two repeatedly being linked as a couple.
Brown said their interactions were mainly part of the “content” they created together and thanked Nyambo for the support she gave him.
From the time Nyambo was proposed to until her wedding, Brown’s name frequently appeared in stories surrounding her relationship. Many people believed the two had been romantically involved and accused Nyambo of betraying him.
Speaking to ISIMBI, Brown said they were once friends but are no longer close. he said: “Let’s stop misleading people; we are no longer friends. Nothing happened. It was just a phase.”
Brown said he was genuinely happy when Nyambo got married, explaining that their previous association continued to attract public attention even after they had stopped working together.
he said: “When Nyambo got married, I was very happy. After what we had been doing ended, I would make videos and people would still associate me with her, even though we were no longer working together,”
He added that even if the two had dated, people should respect Nyambo’s decision to choose the kind of partner and life she wanted.
Brown said: “Even if we had dated, everyone has the right to choose the person they want. Someone may say, ‘I want a partner like this; I want an engineer or a diplomat. I don’t want to end up in Africa, and I don’t want to marry a dancer.’ We have to respect someone’s decision,”

Brown Credits Nyambo for Supporting Him
Brown also credited Nyambo with helping him stay occupied after he was released from prison, saying their work together helped keep his mind away from dwelling on his own situation.
he said: “When I was released, she helped keep my mind busy. She occupied much of my time, which helped me stop thinking about it,”
According to Brown, what people interpreted as a romantic relationship was simply content they created together, and there was no romantic relationship between them.
he said: “The reason people took it to heart was because of that content. It was good content. There was no love at all. They thought they had caught me with a girl, but they had not taken anything. We were not dating.”
Brown said speculation about his relationship with Nyambo intensified after he previously revealed in an interview that he had dated a light-skinned woman in 2023 before they separated.
He also disclosed that he went through a difficult period following the breakup in 2025. The dancer has since urged the public to give Nyambo peace as she builds her marriage and stop associating her with matters in which she has no involvement.
