The Rwanda National Police has started building a new headquarters of Kigali City, aimed at strengthening its operational capacity, improving efficiency, and enhancing service delivery.
Construction Works Progressing
Construction works are progressing, with site leveling activities already underway. The workforce includes both Rwandan and Chinese construction teams working daily to advance the project.

Strategic Location in Downtown Kigali
The new headquarters is being built in downtown Kigali, behind the Sulfo factory buildings, just past the former 1930 prison site.
New Facility to Replace Current Headquarters
Once completed, the facility will serve as the central headquarters of the Rwanda Police in Kigali, replacing the current offices located at Nyirinkwaya.
Boosting Police Service Delivery
This infrastructure project is expected to significantly improve the coordination of police services in the capital and contribute to more effective law enforcement operations.
