Mumbai, India — Marathi actor and filmmaker Adinath Kothare and actress Urmila Kothare have announced their separation after nearly 15 years of marriage.
In a joint statement, the couple said their decision was made through mutual understanding and requested privacy as they go through the transition. They also confirmed that they will continue to co-parent their daughter, Jizah.
The couple, who married in 2011, first met while working together in the film industry. Their marriage was followed by the birth of their daughter, Jizah.
Adinath Kothare’s Career
Adinath Kothare, born on May 13, 1984, is an actor, director, and producer known for his work in Marathi and Hindi cinema.
He began his acting career as a child artist in his father Mahesh Kothare’s 1994 film Maza Chakula before moving into leading roles.
His acting credits include Marathi films such as Ved Lavi Jeeva (2010), Stand By (2011), Zapatlela 2 (2013), and Ishq Wala Love (2014). He also portrayed former Indian cricketer Dilip Vengsarkar in the 2021 Bollywood film 83.
Beyond acting, Kothare has worked as a filmmaker. His directorial film Paani received the National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation. He is also associated with Kothare Vision, a production company involved in television and film projects.
Urmila Kothare’s Entertainment Journey
Urmila Kothare, also known as Urmila Kanetkar, is a Marathi actress and classical dancer.
She made her acting debut with Shubh Mangal Saavdhan (2006) and later appeared in films including Mala Aai Vhhaychy!, Duniyadari, Kaakan, and Ti Saddhya Kay Karte.
Apart from acting, she is known for her classical dance performances and appearances in dance-based television programs.
