The African Volleyball Confederation (CAVB) has praised Rwanda for strong progress in preparing for the African Volleyball Club Championship. The tournament will take place in Kigali from April 20 to May 3, 2026. The delegation was led by CAVB Vice President Fredrick Ndlovu.

Inspection Visit Confirms Readiness
During a three-day visit, CAVB officials inspected competition venues and key facilities. They reviewed accommodation, transport, and event logistics. Overall, they found the preparations well advanced and well organized.
Sports Facilities Meet Required Standards
The delegation noted that Rwanda has modern and well-maintained sports facilities. In addition, they praised the readiness of hotels and transport services. These arrangements will help teams and officials move easily during the tournament.
Rwanda Recognized as a Reliable Host
CAVB officials also recognized Rwanda’s experience in hosting major sports events. As a result, they encouraged continued cooperation between Rwanda’s sports authorities and CAVB. This partnership will help ensure the championship meets international standards.
Championship to Promote Sports and Tourism
The African Volleyball Club Championship will bring top clubs from across Africa to Kigali. Moreover, the event will promote sports tourism and showcase Rwanda’s hospitality. At the same time, it will inspire young athletes and help grow the popularity of volleyball nationwide.
