Rwanda’s national football team, Amavubi, made history after being crowned champions of the FIFA Series 2026, following a convincing 2–0 victory over Estonia in the final held at Amahoro Stadium in Kigali.

The match, played on Monday, March 30, 2026, attracted a large and energetic crowd, including President Paul Kagame, who joined thousands of fans to witness the historic achievement.

Amavubi controlled the game from the start, showing confidence, discipline, and strong teamwork. Their defensive organization stood out throughout the tournament, as they completed the competition without conceding a single goal.

The breakthrough came in the 30th minute when Abeddy Biramahire scored to give Rwanda the lead before halftime.
In the second half, Leroy-Jacques Mickels doubled the advantage in the 51st minute, securing a comfortable and well-deserved victory for the home side.
