The President of the United States, Donald Trump, says many empty oil tankers are on their way to the United States. They will load gasoline and natural gas for export.
Trump shared this message on his social media platform, Truth Social, on April 11, 2026.
He said that many empty vessels are heading to the United States. These ships normally carry petroleum products.
After arrival, the vessels will load fuel. They will then send it to different countries around the world.
Trump wrote: “A large number of oil tankers, currently empty, are coming from different parts of the world to the United States. They will be loaded with gasoline and petroleum products. These will be shipped to various destinations worldwide.”
The announcement followed meetings between senior officials from the United States and Iran in Islamabad, Pakistan. The talks focused on ending a conflict that has lasted over a month.
Earlier this week, Trump said Iran should not charge taxes or fees on oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz. This route is important for global trade. It has remained closed since the conflict started in February 2026.
The conflict involves the United States and its ally Israel against Iran. The closure of the Strait of Hormuz has disrupted global oil supply. It has also pushed fuel prices higher worldwide.
