Three Journalists among 11 Palestinians Killed in Latest Israeli Attacks despite Ceasefire

Three journalists among 11 Palestinians, were killed on Wednesday after Israeli forces carried out multiple attacks across the Gaza Strip. The incidents mark one of the most serious reported violations of the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since October 10, 2025.

Journalists Among the Victims

The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate and Gaza’s Ministry of Health confirmed that three media workers were killed during strikes in southern Gaza. According to the Syndicate, the journalists were carrying out their professional duties at the time of the attacks. Their deaths raise the total number of journalists and media workers killed since October 2023 to 206. The Syndicate condemned the killings, describing them as violations of international law, which protects journalists as civilians.

Military Activity Across Gaza

Witnesses reported intensified military operations in several areas of the Gaza Strip. In central Gaza, gunfire was reported east of Deir al-Balah, resulting in multiple deaths. Airstrikes were also reported in eastern parts of Gaza City, while naval fire targeted coastal areas. In northern Gaza, large explosions were heard as buildings were reportedly demolished east of the Sheikh Zayed area. Heavy gunfire was also reported in eastern Khan Younis in the south.

Ceasefire Faces Ongoing Challenges

Although a ceasefire has been in place since October 10, 2025, violence has continued. According to available data, at least 483 Palestinians have been killed and more than 1,200 injured since the agreement began. Israel maintains control over more than half of Gaza’s territory, including border zones and large areas in the north. Restrictions on humanitarian aid remain in place, affecting food, medical supplies, and shelter for Gaza’s estimated 2.4 million residents.

Conflict Continues to Take Heavy Toll

The war, which escalated sharply on October 7, 2023, has caused widespread humanitarian devastation. More than 71,000 people have been killed and over 171,000 injured over the past two years, while an estimated 90% of Gaza’s civilian infrastructure has been damaged or destroyed. Despite reports of Israeli military casualties in recent clashes, international concern continues to grow over civilian deaths and the fragility of the ceasefire.
