The Rwanda Football Federation has officially unveiled Stephen Constantine as the new head coach of Rwanda’s national football team, Rwanda national football team.
The announcement was made during a press conference held at FERWAFA headquarters in Kigali. Football officials also discussed preparations for the upcoming FIFA Series, which will take place in Kigali from March 26 to March 31, 2026.

Constantine Signs Two-Year Contract
During the event, FERWAFA leaders introduced Constantine as the new national team coach. The experienced English manager signed a two-year contract to lead Amavubi in upcoming international competitions.
Officials expressed confidence that his international coaching experience will help strengthen the team and guide it toward better performances in regional and global tournaments.
FIFA Series to Test Team Readiness
FERWAFA officials described the upcoming FIFA Series matches as an important opportunity for the national team to prepare for future competitions.
The tournament will allow the new coach to evaluate players, build stronger teamwork, and test tactical approaches against international opponents. It will also help the technical staff identify promising talents who can contribute to the team’s development.
New Era for Amavubi and Fans
The FIFA Series matches in Kigali will also give Rwandan football fans the opportunity to support Amavubi on home soil.
Football authorities believe the appointment of Constantine marks the beginning of a new chapter for Rwanda’s national team. With fresh leadership and renewed focus, the federation hopes to build a competitive squad capable of improving Rwanda’s standing in international football.
