Rwandan soldiers serving under the United Nations peacekeeping mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), deployed in Bangui, Bria, and Bossembélé, joined the local population to commemorate the 32nd anniversary of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi.
The event took place at military bases in all three locations, highlighting cooperation and friendship between Rwanda and the Central African Republic.
Honoring Victims and Promoting Unity
Senior officers of the Rwandan Defence Forces, soldiers from various units, MINUSCA staff, and local government leaders, including Magloire Balepoed, Secretary-General of Fertit Province, attended the ceremony.
Participants paid tribute to genocide victims, emphasizing the importance of remembrance, unity, and countering hate.
Strengthening Rwanda-CAR Collaboration
