Minister Visits CHUB to Launch New Projects
On Friday, the Minister visited the University Teaching Hospital of Butare (CHUB). During the visit, he launched several new projects at the hospital. These initiatives, in particular, aim to improve patient care and expand medical services. As a result, the hospital will serve more patients efficiently.
Modern Equipment Boosts Disease Diagnosis
In addition, the hospital received new medical equipment with advanced technology. With these machines, doctors can detect and monitor serious illnesses more quickly. Moreover, the equipment supports accurate diagnosis and timely treatment. Therefore, patients will receive better care and improved health outcomes.
New Cancer Center Expands Local Treatment
At the same time, CHUB opened a specialized cancer treatment center. This center not only provides diagnosis but also offers treatment and follow-up care. Consequently, patients will access more cancer services within Rwanda. As a result, fewer families will need to travel abroad for treatment.
Training Center to Increase Number of Doctors
Finally, the Ministry of Health launched a new training center at the hospital. This facility is part of a national plan to increase the number of doctors four times within four years. Through this program, the government will expand medical education and strengthen practical training. Ultimately, this effort will reduce the shortage of healthcare professionals and build a stronger health system for the future.
