Patrol Members Receive Equipment to Support Their Work
Ngoma District authorities gave patrol members boots to help them perform their duties more effectively. The boots will make patrol work easier, especially at night and during the rainy season.
Night patrol members often walk long distances and pass through muddy areas. The new boots will help them carry out their duties comfortably and safely.
Mayor Warns Against Negligence During Patrol
Mayor Niyonagira reminded patrol members that their work plays an important role in maintaining public security.
She said: “Your work is essential in protecting citizens. We ask you to perform it professionally. Do not go on patrol after drinking alcohol. Also, make sure you do not give thieves any opportunity to threaten the safety of the community.”

Patrol Members Appreciate the Support
The patrol members welcomed the equipment and said it will help them perform their duties better.
Etienne Tuyizere, one of the patrol members, expressed gratitude to the district leadership: “We are very happy to receive these boots from the district. They will help us perform patrol duties better, especially during the rainy season and in muddy areas. We will continue to carry out our responsibilities professionally as our leaders have advised us,” he said.
Women Also Play a Role in Community Security
Another patrol member, Marie Claire Uwineza, said the rainy season used to make their work very difficult: “These boots will help us patrol without worrying about rain. We promise to continue working with residents to protect the security of our community,” she said.
Kibungo Sector has 164 professional patrol members, including 12 women. These patrol members work closely with security institutions and residents to maintain peace and safety in the area.
