In a continued effort to strengthen the quality of education, leaders from Kabiri Cell in Kirehe District joined a stakeholders’ meeting. The event brought together school administrators, sector education officers, government representatives, and partners from the LIFT Rwanda Project. Moreover, it provided a platform to discuss key issues affecting schools and explore joint solutions to improve learners’ performance.

Focus on Technology and AI in Education
The meeting emphasized the use of modern technology, especially Artificial Intelligence (AI), to support teachers and students. Participants discussed how AI can enhance lesson planning, monitor individual learner progress, and provide timely academic support. In addition, technology is expected to improve overall teaching and learning outcomes across schools.
Unity and Dedication Among Education Stakeholders
Speaking during the meeting, Rangira Bruno stressed the importance of collaboration among all education stakeholders.
“We cannot attain quality education without working together. Teachers, school leaders, local authorities, and development partners must all play an active role in improving the education of our children,” he said.
He further urged teachers to stay dedicated to their daily responsibilities, prioritize learners’ needs, and continue learning new skills to keep up with a world rapidly driven by technology.

Addressing Gaps in Learning Facilities
Participants also highlighted challenges in some schools, including shortages of computers, internet connectivity, and other technological equipment. These gaps hinder digital learning initiatives. However, representatives from LIFT Rwanda reassured participants that the project will continue supporting teacher training, digital skills development, and sustainable learning solutions. They added that rural learners will particularly benefit from these efforts.
Resolutions to Strengthen Education in Kirehe
The meeting concluded with resolutions to improve teacher capacity-building programs, closely monitor action plans, and strengthen collaboration between local leaders and education partners. As a result, participants expressed satisfaction and called for regular meetings to foster dialogue and collective problem-solving. They reaffirmed their commitment to working together to improve education standards in Kirehe, ensuring learners gain the knowledge and skills needed for a better future and national development.
